Dr. Michelle Cleere Dr. Michelle's passion is unlocking the power of the mind so that elite performers can play better and happier. She coaches athletes, musicians, academicians, business leaders and other people who need to perform consistently at a high level. Performance Psychology Ph.D. Dr. Michelle holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and a M.A. in Sports Psychology. She serves on the faculty of JFK University. Her research focuses on how the mind can be trained to improve performance and endurance. Her competitive spirit as a college basketball player and amateur triathlete inspired her to explore sports psychology to improve her own performance. Her big a-ha moment came in 1997 when coaching a team of amateur triathletes, most of whom were beginners. Simple mental skill training, perspective shifts and emotional support yielded almost magical results across the team. People who hated running learned to power up hills with mantras. People who were terrified of swimming in open water overcame their fear with visualizations. Everyone completed their race-including the woman who showed up to the first practice with a snorkel mask and fins-and most kept competing. Since then, Dr. Michelle has helped hundreds of athletes who compete in sports that require a high degree of mental endurance and toughness such as tennis, golf, triathlon, marathon, cycling and beach volleyball. She has also worked with concert musicians, academics competing for tenure and business executives. Collaborations and Publications Dr. Michelle collaborates with Dr. Oz, the National Academy of Sports Medicine and Sharecare. She writes about elite performance and the mind-body connection for Triathlete Magazine, USA Triathlon, United States Professional Tennis Association, Professional Tennis Registry. She has authored two books: Shifting Gears: How Women Triathletes Balance Life with Sport and The Experience of Participating in a Triathlon.

Hello! I am a happily married Christian Mom of 2 grown kids! I discovered the raw, plant-based lifestyle in 2007 and developed a passion for making raw vegan food through Alissa Cohen. I began teaching classes through her certified program in 2010. I was a flight attendant for Continental (United) Airlines for 20 years. I began working my gourmet raw business as a Personal Chef which led to a partnership with working my business through Tru Meals in Houston, TX. When Tru Meals closed, I was still interested in continuing my professional business. At that point, my Darling Hubby saw an article on food trucks and the idea to have a completely raw, vegan, living food trailer was born! After 6 months of juggling both careers, I prayerfully decided to work my certified food trailer full time. How I eat: I consider myself "high-raw", which means that my vegan and plant-based lifestyle includes a very high percentage of uncooked (raw) plant-based meals. It's easy for me to do that since I'm working in my food trailer most of the week, where I make fully raw meals for myself and others. I absolutely LOVE my own gourmet raw vegan food! Sometimes I consume all raw for stretches of time, but there have been times when I'm out with friends or just feel like having something vegan that is cooked, such as Lentils, Beans, or Veggie Soup, then I'm less raw. I think of eating raw vegan as a lifestyle. I enjoy finding raw or plant-based vegan restaurants! I love thinking about raw food, preparing raw food, and especially, eating raw food! I really LOVE playing with my food! It's just so much FUN!!!! I really don't enjoy "cooking" food at all. Occasionally, I do cook vegan meals for my family, so I understand the challenge some have when they are trying to maintain the raw lifestyle while having to cook for others; although my family eats a lot of plant-based food with me. Of course, if I knew then, what I know now, I would have never given my kids cooked food at all. Now that my kids are all grown up (YAY!!!), if they want to eat something cooked they make it themselves....double YAY! :-). I find that, if I am cooking something on the stove, I have to stay near it or I forget I'm cooking and burn it! LOL! That's the beauty of preparing raw food...nothing ever burns (and raw food saves on electricity also)! Over the years, I have found that the more raw I eat, the better I feel. I absolutely LOVE to cleanse my body using delicious freshly made juices and fasting from time to time. I have learned to listen to my body and to be kind to myself. I have first hand experience of the wonderful changes you can feel after going raw, especially losing weight and having mental clarity and energy! After all these years, I'm still learning and growing. I know that food choices are very personal and emotional and that not everyone is ready, willing, or desiring to eat completely raw and vegan. I do not pretend to know everything and I never tell anyone what is the best way to eat for them personally. Rather, I encourage everyone to give raw vegan food a try and take note of the difference eating the right foods can make in your body, mind, and spirit. I truly believe the closer a person's diet is to the plant-based lifestyle, the more changes you will see and the better you will feel. IMHO, achieving optimal health through a plant-based diet is a journey rather than a race. The more I learn about food, nutrition, and the environment, the better choices I make for myself and the better equipped I am to help others. I had suffered from Migraines for years. One month my Migraine stayed with me for 32 DAYS STRAIGHT! I'm NOT kidding you!!! It was TERRIBLE! I stayed home in my room...the slightest bit of light made me feel like my head was going to explode! I completed a RAW Cleanse of my colon and my Migraines were GONE and they have NOT returned! I feel better than I've ever felt in my life....I REALLY DO!!! I firmly believe that if you want to learn from someone, that person should be someone who truly LOVES what they are doing. For me, teaching RAW and Living Food is something I love to do. My Classes are TONS of FUN!!!! Teaching the ART of Living on Live Food is definitely a passion of mine! I really LOVE it...and I do my best to LIVE it. 😀
