Goldilocks was a Buddhist; she practiced the Middle Way. Not too hot, not too cold, was the name of her game ... ~ Barefoot Bran Music on Bandcamp Goldilocks in "The "Three Bears" faces the archetypal dilemma of soul in the human experience: how to find a "just right" balance between extremes to get your needs met. What if the human experience is a schoolroom of such learning, inviting us to perform a "just right" balance between extreme responses; such as, anger~apathy? Goldilocks has no inner critic here. She's not penalized for any wrong choices. Nor is she praised for her final “good” choice. Bears do not eat her; they simply watch. The story affirms she is a self-propelled problem solver. she is ready willing, able and wanting to do personal experiments, to get her needs met. The Goldilocks Games is no more nor less than a playful game of choosing healthy middle ground again and again, as best we can. We are ALL playing the Goldilocks game. This is a talk and INTERACTION class to listen and support each other to play the Goldilocks Game better. Bring a journal. Everyone will be challenged to to tell the Three Bears story in 60 seconds or less.

Daily Hatha Yoga classes during the Symposium February 1st to 28th; Monday to Sunday 9:00 to 10: 00 am EST with Hanu Yoga Studio. We will lovingly create unique and inspiring classes that integrate a variety of Yoga traditions. These will keep the flow of energy and health moving in your body and mind. We are Patty Grant and Kirsten Askins. Patty will guide you on MWF and Kirsten on TThS&Sun. We are passionate about bringing our knowledge of Yoga, including good food for your practice & methods of meditation. Make the commitment to yourself and to us and you will shift not only your physical self but transform on more subtle levels. Practice every day or at minimum three days a week. Join this series of 4 classes to explore the teachings of Love, based on Yoga philosophy and Yoga Psychology. None of us are given a manual on how to ‘be’. Most of our educational institutions guide us in acquiring intellectual and professional knowledge. But when it comes to love – we are left on our own. We all seek love. We also seek acceptance, understanding, and comfort, which come with being loved. Even though we all reach for it, the path to love is unclear and uncertain. Maybe, we are reaching in the wrong direction. So what does this concept mean, according to yoga teachings? All yoga teachings lead us to ourselves. This topic is no different. In this series we will look at the following topics: Week 1 “I want to find love”. How this concept creates duality and an internal split. What is duality and how does that create tension and longing? I need “myself” in order to experience love. Why is “myself” so elusive? Week 2 Who is this “I” who is looking for love? Is love even possible? What does love have to do with devotion? Let’s talk about energy. Week 3 Where is love? Tell me, and I will go there! Is love a desire? The pendulum on which we swing – from here to there. Week 4 “I know what love is, and it does not last”. How true is this statement? Love hurts. Why? What is the connection between the ideas of love and being in the present moment? Are they one and the same or are they two different things? True love holds no weight. Begin to discern the weight of love that you might be carrying. How heavy is your love?
