Enter the World of the Jinn: An Introduction to Sufi Mysticism and the Jinn
Jinn - shape-shifting spirits made of smokeless fire. According to Islamic theology, the jinn predate humans and live unseen in a parallel world to ours. Interactions with these mysterious beings are interwoven into ancient Middle Eastern spirituality and stories. Jinn can also attach to people, causing problems, which is where Sufi healers come into play. In this introductory 1-hour class, we'll explore the concept of the Jinn through the lens of Sufi mysticism. Learn about the different types of jinn described in ancient texts, their powers, and their relationships to humans.
